2K graced us with a new character trailer for Borderlands 3 today, this time featuring Amara, the siren of the vault hunting quartet.
Amara’s design is heavily influenced by Durga, the Hindu warrior goddess. Also much like Durga, Amara isn’t afraid to kill you with one of her eight arms. Or kill you with ALL of her 8 arms. She loves the people, and the people love her, just as long as they don’t get on her bad side.
Amara’s Skill Tree
Along with the trailer, they also released a rundown of her skill trees. Much like the sirens of previous Borderlands, her skills involve using her siren powers to buff her and her weapons in various ways. Fist of the Elements increases elemental effects, as well as the ability to lock an enemy in place so she can punch them with a giant astral fist. Mythical Assault buffs her attack power and grants her the ability to send out a projection that punches everything in its path. Finally, Brawl, as the name implies, ups her melee damage in various ways and gives her the ability to slam, knocking any affected enemy into the air. This tree also will give Amara beefier defenses, allowing her to survive longer as she gets up in the enemy’s face. In case you hadn’t noticed by now, Amara’s skills all involve her punching something in some way, shape, or form. But can you blame her, what else is she going to do with all those arms?
If you want to read more in depth on Amara’s skills, you can find that here. If you’re into punching things, Amara might be a good choice for you when Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th.
